Training provided for public health volunteers

We want to make sure you feel confident carrying out the tasks we ask you to perform. That’s why we plan to communicate with you on a regular basis if you sign up to be a public health volunteer.

We will:

  • send you informational newsletters to keep you informed about issues that affect our volunteers.

  • invite you to participate in disaster drills that test our readiness for public health emergencies.

  • provide training twice a year to help you learn more about various medical conditions and teach you basic skills such as first aid and CPR.
